The Messy Middle Book Club and Meditation Circle
Dealing with the never ending daily stresses of life, sandwiched between children, parents, partner, and work? Struggling to be present no matter where you are? Maybe you've tried meditation or an app but it didn't quite make sense or bring the instant relief you were hoping for? Wondering how you can meet all your commitments and still be compassionate with yourself and others?
Everyday life necessitates Everyday Mindfulness.
You can learn to become more present, open-minded, and compassionate with yourself, your family and in your work.
Start or deepen your everyday mindfulness and meditation practices through the more familiar practice of a Book Club. Each season of life brings new challenges and each seasonal Messy Middle Book Club brings new opportunities to practice in community.
Secular Mindfulness & Meditation for Helping Professionals
Do you work in one of the helping professions such as law, ADR, or social work? Do you feel the pressure of your high stress job? Do you need tools to support your own wellbeing and be more present for both yourself and those you serve?
We often forget that we are part of the helping professions and that we are exposed to secondary trauma as we provide our services as lawyers, paralegals, judges, mediators, arbitrators, ombuds, social workers, case workers, and other conflict resolution professionals.
In the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being's 2017 report, Mindfulness is specifically noted as an effective modality to reduce stress and enhance professionalism in the legal field. Through Intentional Legal, you can learn foundational and more advanced mindfulness practices adapted specifically for those in the legal or conflict resolution fields to help you regulate your emotions, reflect on your experience, and to release the emotional residue.
